 ART

Art can be one of the most meaningful and enjoyable pastimes. But for many autistic individuals, it can seem unstructured, chaotic, and ultimately inaccessible. Voice Colors model offers a framework that makes painting, drawing, and other creative endeavors more digestible. By visually presenting the process step-by-step, and empowering the autistic individual to make choices at every juncture, art can become an exciting mode of self-expression.

The model was developed, as always, with Eve’s son Billy as the first student. The process was gradual. During Billy’s preschool and elementary years, art was completely adult-driven and limited to a single rote function, like gluing or coloring with one crayon. Then, over the years, Eve incorporated the Voice Colors methodology to teach Billy different techniques, movement patterns, and mediums like painting.

By his 20’s, art became a very important outlet for Billy’s creativity. He’s produced hundreds of paintings and sold works all over America to places like Amazon, Bain Capital, and Experian.
